How much is a coffered ceiling?

Coffered ceilings.

I get lots of traffic to my website for the search term "coffered ceilings" (you can see pictures of the finished coffered ceiling in the video and another coffered ceiling on my website here Coffered Ceilings ). I have given estimates for coffered ceilings and I also get phone calls and emails about the cost of a coffered ceiling and people are sometimes surprised by the total estimate.

coffered ceiling how to

The coffered ceiling above had 25 individual coffers, that's a lot of molding and millwork and a whole lot of  work cutting miters and coping crown molding.
I've done a a lot of research on where to get coffered ceiling kits and I have found that my prices are much better than the shipped coffered ceiling kits and you still have to install the coffered ceiling kit or hire someone to do it. If you happen to be moving into a new house that is currently being built you would probably get an okay deal on a coffered ceiling, something simple, but then again the home builder is already selling you a house for some ridiculous price!
If you have any questions about my coffered ceilings please don't hesitate to call me!

The average cost of crown molding

Hello,

Welcome to my blog. Today I'm going to talk a little about the cost of crown molding. The average cost of crown molding varies from state to state with the cost of living. When it comes to crown molding most contractors will charge by the linear foot (Linear feet just means any distance or length measured in feet). Some contractors will charge by the corner. When I estimate for crown molding here in Richmond Virginia, I charge by the linear foot. My price for crown molding includes the material cost of the crown molding, and the labor cost of installing the crown molding. You can also get a price for painting the crown molding.
If your taking on the job yourself you can purchase the molding at a local Home depot or Lowe's whichever you prefer or you could save yourself about 40 cents/linear foot if you find a local mill work/lumber yard. Please visit my website http://www.thefinishingcompany.net/ from there you can email me if you need advice on a crown molding estimate you have received. I will be happy to assist you.

thks
